Is it worth going to the doctors?
Hi!
I had a pilodinal cyst around 2 years ago and I went to the doctors who diagnosed it and it eventually drained on it's own. However, over the last year I have been getting the pain every couple of months (hard to sit, feels hot, etc) but I think the abcess must be deep as I cannot feel a lump and it never bursts. Around the same time of these episodes I have a day or two where I feel terrible, a bit like flu but when the cyst starts to hurt I feel better. What I wondered is whether it is worth going to the doctors with it again, is there much they can do? Hope you can help! |

RE: Is it worth going to the doctors?
Hi,
I think it would be a good idea to see your doctor. It's always important to start any potential treatment as early as possible before it can get any worse. I guess it's possible that they can't/won't do anything about it but at least then you'll know that that's the case. I certainly don't believe they would view it as time wasting if that happens. Hope that helps. One generation plants the trees; another gets the shade. |
